The music and lessons of Bob Mayo and Bill Downey
Make Learning fun with BoBBiLL
BoBBiLL is the musical duo of Bob Mayo (guitar and vocals) and Bill Downey (bass and vocals). Both Bob and Bill are speech language pathologists with extensive teaching experience. The fun-filled songs are all original pieces written by Bob to instruct 3 to 6 year olds in early childhood curricular areas. The catchy songs are upbeat with memorable lyrics and simple note patterns that make group participation instantaneous. From learning the days of the week, colors, and body parts, to sound symbol relationships, saftey rules and self esteem, and more, BoBBiLL makes learning fun. Classroom teachers' reactions have all been very positive. CDs are available for purchase at performances and concerts.

Bob Mayo
Bob is a recently retired school speech language pathologist who specialized in classroom activities for the preschool populations of Head Start/K3 through K5. Music had always been part of his personal life and as an educator he has seen the joy it brought into the classroom and how a child's potential to recall and retain information was enhanced once they became "melodically engaged" in the activity. Since retiring, he has dedicated himself to the writing, organizing, rewriting, and finally recording of many of the academic lessons he had put into rhyme and song over the past 30 years. He continues to volunteer on a weekly basis (when not out golfing) in the Head Start classroom of his old school, performing his music for future generations of learners.
Bill Downey
Bill is a speech language pathologist with over 24 years experience serving both elementary and secondary students in urban and suburban areas. His musical background has included guitar teaching, performing with a local band, Sound Investment, and playing at church functions. In addition to the bass, he plays the guitar, saxophone, and keyboard. He enjoys doing "live" performances for eager learners. He is currently working on therapy songs for students on the autism spectrum and continues to serve students in the Waukesha Public Schools in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
